LEGO Movie 2 (Movie Review)

I’m not really a collector of LEGO sets in general but I do have several sets that I have built. I’ve built a version of the Space Needle, have the set of the Big Bang Theory and lastly, various sets of the Avengers: Infinity War sets that were released prior to the movie. Even though I don’t have many, I’ve been a fan of them since a little kid and was excited when the first Lego Movie was released. I really was not expecting it to love it so much and see it get many great reviews for it. Does the second one capture the same fun and laughs as the first one?

Why the love for cinema?

Going to the cinema (movie theater) is one of my favorite things to do when I have some free time. To be honest, it’s one of my FAVORITE things to do. Having that excitement feeling of seeing a new movie or even a movie that you just want to watch again in theaters because it was that good! Going to the concession stand to get some popcorn that it 10x’s better than boxed popcorn (I love all types of popcorn btw). Even going to the theater and being part of a movie theater that is almost full or even full and just experiencing a movie together, seeing other peoples reactions (When it’s a good crowd, not a bad one). Theres this feeling that I have for movie theaters and it’s not one that will change anytime soon.

The College Life (Work-Life Balance) + 5 Tips

College really has you thinking about what you’re doing the next day and the day after that. When you’re spending a lot of money to get an education in something that interest you, its important that you’re really putting in all the effort in trying to pass. In the past years, I have been the worst example of a college student that has his weeks planned out with work, homework, upcoming exams etc. I wasn’t the best student and really put minimal (plus more) effort in trying to pass my classes or really seeing what my end game was. This past quarter as been different. Why? It wakes you up when you get a letter from your school with some information that really puts you in “be better” mode.

Venom (Movie Review)

I have refrain from letting critic reviews get to me and base an opinion on a movie that I haven’t seen yet. When Rotten Tomatoes released the rating for Venom, it was a 26% and critics were all over this movie. I’ll admit, I didn’t think this movie was going to do well ratings wise as the trailers were coming out but I was still excited. So, when the reviews came out, I didn’t care. I enjoyedSuicide Squad but it currently holds 28% on Rotten Tomatoes. As for Venom, I liked it…. People like different things. We all have different opinions and at the end of the day, its what entertains us individually.  Continue reading “Venom (Movie Review)”

The Nun (Movie Review)

First off, I hate scary movies. I’m the type of individual that has to see any type of horror, scary, super suspenseful movie during the day time because if I watch one during the evening/night time, it’s over. I tend to really think about a movie after viewing it and these type’s of movies really get me thinking hence the reason I can only watch them during the day.

BUT, there’s a certain element to these movies that really keep making me come back to watching them. Continue reading “The Nun (Movie Review)”

The Podcast

Alexa. Google Assistant. Siri. Google Home. Home Pod. These devices all have one thing in common: Voice. Okay, maybe I’m taking the idea from Gary Vee but it does sound like voice is the future. The helpfulness of having something that you can speak to and have it answer you back in an instant. But it’s not just voice assistants that are becoming the future. It seems that podcasts are coming back and stronger than ever. Continue reading “The Podcast”

A New (New) Beginning

Have you ever had goals and months later either have forgotten them or simply just thought about them and think “Nah, don’t feel like it”? That’s how it’s been for many things for me.

This year the main goal I’ve been really focusing on has been fitness wise. Sure I haven’t really lost much weight as I would have like but I’ve been going consistently which has helped me mentally wise. But that’s not the only goal that I’ve really wanted to focus on this year.

That goal: To create a new website (Blog) showcasing as to what goes around my life and what seems interesting. Continue reading “A New (New) Beginning”

Annihilation (Movie Review)

I’m an individual who goes to the movie theater for the mainstream movies that come out (Black Panther, Jurassic Park, Infinity War etc). Usually I tend to opt for the IMAX/Dolby Cinema showings since I’ve gotten kind of a liking to these types of showings. Now when a company known as MoviePass released a statement that they were doing a subscription of $9.99 per month to watch one movie per day, I definitely got excited.
